Come to Calvary you weary soul, here Jesus has done all things well. The power of the cross for victory in your life is Jesus by God's own Holy Spirit in you.
THE CROSS DIFFERENT!
Ignorant Christians who have not seen the significance of the cross are deceived into improving old Adam.
They work on it all their lives. Unless God in His grace reveals His death and resurrection to them. They also pass on their misunderstood Christianity to others, thereby retaining others in the process of old Adam's self-improvement! They end up in a process of psychology's self-improvement. Jesus and his work on Calvary are put out of play.
The path of salvation of psychology is here:
It's ok to have weaknesses, but you can look at them and get depressed. You identify with them. Then you try to improve, but end up in discouragement, for the process of self-improvement does not succeed. No here is a better way: You say. You must choose to do something you are good at. It will give you energy and profits. You start in old Adam and you continue in old Adam.
But what is God's revelation to us in his word?
It's about A BRAND NEW LIFE!
That life should not be improved, but accepted and believed. Only he who has been revealed by the Spirit can "see" it.
Many believe they can see it in the word of God, but it has never come to life with them. They are still living the life of old Adam in their belief that they are in Christ.
ROM.6 3-4
DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT ALL OF US WHO WERE BAPTIZED TO CHRIST JESUS WERE BAPTIZED TO HIS DEATH? THEREFORE WE WERE BURIED WITH HIM AT THE DEAD-LEGS TO DEATH, THAT AS CHRIST WAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD BY THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, SO WE SHALL ALSO LIVE (WALK IN) A WHOLE NEW LIFE.
In the whole new life, there is no need for self-improvement of old Adam!
He died with Jesus on the cross. It should be self-evident to the born-again Christian. It presupposes that those who are baptized believe in what they confess and that they are what they pretend to be. The new life in Christ refers not only to a new way of life, but to a new identity! The new Christ life springs from the Holy Spirit of our new identity by faith.
DO YOU DARE IN FAITH TO IDENTIFY YOU WITH THE RISEN CHRIST?
Then the self-improvement of old Adam is over. Here we get great resistance from those who are still struggling in old Adam to become a better human being. They have not yet seen that they are included in Jesus' death on the cross.
ROM.6-10 THE DEAD, HE DIED, HE DIED ONCE FOR EVERYONE AWAY FROM SIN, AND THE LIFE HE LIVES, HE LIVES FOR GOD.
That verse is about Jesus. All sin was laid on Jesus on the cross by his Father. But what is it that this verse says?
When he died on the cross, he died AWAY from sin. He did not take sin to heaven. We all understand that for sure enough. And the life he now lives, (without sin), he lives for God.
But what about us? How are we doing?
ROM.6-11
THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD ALSO COUNT YOURSELF FOR DEAD FROM SIN AND LIVING FOR GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.
We have just read about Jesus' death and resurrection and his position before God. Now we are encouraged to believe we are also without sin before God. Because God has included us in Christ Jesus!
There is nothing safer than rain. Two plus two is four and it can never be five or three. It is just as certain that we are included in Christ on the part of God. But if it is to come to life for us, it is a necessity that we will receive it in faith.
Do not be deceived by the deception of psychology about the self-improvement of old Adam. But ask God through the Holy Spirit to receive revelation in your inner man about the life of Christ, which has been bestowed on you by grace alone.
It was written in verse 11 that we should consider ourselves dead and alive. To count is to BELIEVE! The faith in question here is full certainty, or a firm conviction, given by the Holy Spirit. No human being can take it for granted.
THE LETTER OF HEBREW .11-1 FAITH IS FIXED CONFIDENCE IN WHAT YOU HOPE, CONVICTION OF THINGS YOU DO NOT SEE.
Study Bible writes about this verse:
The statement of this opening in the chapter of faith defines what faith really is: - It is not an assumption, something one assumes, but is not entirely sure. It is something absolute and certain. It is the faith that leads to salvation that is described here.
ASK FOR THIS REVELATION OF FAITH IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT LIKE YOUR LIFE.
2 KORITHER.5-17 “THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION, THE OLD IS GONE, SEE, SOMETHING NEW HAS BEEN MADE.
The word THEREFORE, indicates that the condition is to receive by “the revelation of the faith, which is given by the Spirit of God by grace. Therefore, it shows us that not everyone sees it.
We may wonder people can sit year after year for meetings / services year after year and not "grasp" that gospel.
Old Adam stands in the way of the full grace of Christ!
They stick to the "safe" that they know, namely their old Adam's life, which must be improved in order to please God While God has declared old Adam dead.
Study The Bible writes about verse 17 here:
A complete transformation has taken place. A new creature is the result. D one is the consequence of the Christian's identification with Christ in his death and resurrection. So far Study the Bible.
In the old Bible translation it did not say: Behold, something new has come into being. But EVERYTHING has become new.
Then we understand Paul's confession in Gal.2-20
WITH CHRIST I AM CRUCIFIED, AND IT IS NO LONGER ME THAT LIVES, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME.
It must be called a full identification with the risen Christ who lives before God.
It is now the risen Christ who lives by the Holy Spirit in Paul. He sits in heaven at the right hand of the Father, but at the same time lived in Paul by the Holy Spirit. Pau-lus continues in Gal.2-20 AND THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE MEAT, I LIVE IN THE FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD WHO LOVED ME AND GIVEN HIMSELF TO ME.
Yes, now old Adam intervenes, it's something he understands, now we're back again he says. I live in the flesh and try to believe. But it does not say whether you have understood the message here by the Spirit. The life I live in the "flesh" means: the life I now live in LEGE-MET, I live in faith.
What faith?
The faith that Heb.11-1 speaks of. Not an assumption, but a Spiritual revelation! Paul here points back to the Cross. The Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Where did he give himself?
ON THE CROSS.
What happened on the cross?
I died with him and arose with him to a whole NEW life.
ASK GOD FOR THE REVELATION IN YOUR LIFE SO YOU CAN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE FOR GOOD AND EVIL.
That was what Eve and Adam wanted to see with the help of the Devil. But only the Holy Spirit can give us this revelation. Adam the evil and Christ the good.
PRAY GOD BY THE SPIRIT TO SHOW YOU THIS MESSAGE
In gt we also see the cross.
If we go back to the Old Testament, we are told about a man named Enoch. He walked with God, and he was no more, for God took him. He was abducted just as the congregation is about to leave. Mos. 5-24
There are many who say that they believe in Jesus and who throughout their lives have come to him with all their problems and he has helped them. But they have not come on a hike with him. They have not understood it.
We are walking with God, just like Enoch, whether we know God's way of walking. We must have light over the walk so that we can walk with God. It begins with us having to die on the cross. We must not be made better people.
Rom.6-6 "We know that our old man was crucified with him, that the sinful body might lose its power so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin."
This is the past tense. We know! So we have come up on the cross. We must die there on the cross so that we will no longer be enslaved to sin. We do not need to change anymore. The old man, who wanted the good but did the evil, must die on the cross.
It is very important that we by the Spirit see this divine light. We must walk while we have the light. 2000 years ago we died on the cross with Jesus.
2 Cor. 5-14 "One is dead in the place of all, so all are dead."
God's thought was to include all people in Christ. God said when Jesus dies, then all people die. It was the entire Adam family who died on the cross.
We can not pretend to be in the Adam family. Adam became a rebel against God, we are born out of this generation of rebels and we are born rebel against God.
And God said, I will take away my son, which is not of this earth, nor of this generation. He is from Heaven. He is of divine lineage. I make him human and let him give birth to the Adam family. Then I let him die, thereby ending the Adams series.
Then I raise him up and make a new generation. That was what happened. We became a new generation in Christ.
The Epistle to the Romans. 6-5
If we have grown up with him in a death that is similar to his, we must also be in a resurrection that is similar to his. "
So we are a new generation. Our last name is now Christ. We can not do for what God has done.
1 Corinthians. 15-22
Just as all die in Adam, so also all must be made alive in Christ.
We are dead in Adam! But now we are hidden in Christ. The entire Adam family is extinct.
1 Corinthians. 15-45
Thus it is also written: The first man, Adam, became a living soul, the LAST Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Seen through the eyes of God, there are no more Adams on earth. A new generation has come, the family of Christ. We have now in our walk with God come not only to the cross, but also up on the cross. Yes we have even gone further into the resurrection.
2 Corinthians. 5 17-18
Therefore, IF anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation! The old IS over, see, something new has come into being. But all this is from God, who reconciles us to himself through Christ.
DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY?
No, but Christ! Many today search back in the old man for mistakes and sins committed in the past or even committed in the family. They believe this must be confessed to God in order to receive His forgiveness. They dig into their subconscious, they search in the lives of their parents or grandparents, whether there should be a family guilt to confess. It's a different gospel.
2 Corinthians. 11-4
If anyone comes and preach a Jesus other than the one we preached, or you get a different spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel than the one you received, then you will find yourselves beautiful in it.
The gospel of psychology has gone far into the ranks of Christians today. Gyldendal's dictionary of psychoanalysis states: Psychoanalysis is a psychological direction that emphasizes the cause of the inner actions and thereby enables a cure.! Quote end.
The true gospel speaks of the death of the old man, but Christian psychology infamous speaks of looking at the cause of the inner actions in people and thereby finding an opportunity for healing, humiliation of the mind. They are working on old Adam's salvation and improvement.
The Bible says we are dead! What does this mean? This means that then there is no more to dig for! It is in the dead that they dig. We are in the new, Christ by faith!
Jesus said: Let the dead bury their dead, follow me. Do we reborn dare to follow Jesus here? Enoch walked with God and he was no more, God took him.
Epiphany. 3-6
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the church.
The cross and the law
Many Christians live round the law and their own paragraphs.
If we do not all live and do as ourselves, we are not all true Christians, but hear right here what the law should be.
The law is given to show man the opposition they have to the law of God that is in him. That is credible speech. Because. We are all dead with Him. Ie. We are crucified with Jesus. Therefore, we must also live with Jesus.2.Tim.2: 11. Have we died, gone up voluntarily on the cross, we can say with Paul in Rom.7: 11. Then you also, my siblings, by the body / body of Christ, have died from the law. Now we are free from the law. In that we, along with Jesus' death, have died away from all that we were held captive to. Rom.7: 4 and v6. The message that the apostle Paul is preaching here is to be delivered from the bondage of sin. The law was given to show the sinful opposition. ”But when sin was given rise to the commandment, it aroused the desires of the world in me; for without sin sin is dead. ”7: 8.
How true it is in every human heart! When it is said that we must not covet, we immediately find that we are doing exactly what we are forbidden to do. "Thou shalt not" arouse all the opposition to the holy will of God which is in the fallen nature, because, the will of the desire of the flesh is enmity against God. 8: 7.
Without the commandments of the law, sin is dead, that is, there is no resistance or struggle. Let people go their own ways and do the will of the flesh and the mind, then there is no struggle. But as soon as they are brought face to face with the law of God, and they try to obey it, sin lives up and works in them all kinds of desires contrary to God's commandments. The intention of the law is that it brings, liberation from all slavery, by death. Calvary is the place where the cross is, it is the only place where both humiliation / reconciliation with God takes place, as liberation from sin and judgment takes place. He who is crucified with Christ dies with Him, not only from the slavery of sin but also from the curses of the law, and slavery.
The law that is lived every day by helpless sinners required that he live it fully to its end. It required an obedience that that man could not put up with. The only thing such a man can do is to look helpless and powerless to the meanwhile the law of sin brings him farther and farther down into the arms of death. Deeper and deeper he fell into the chasm of the abyss where in the end there is no way back to life.
Everything is due. What used to be life became death. It is the law that causes the soul to reach a point where it must give up and can no longer fight and stand against the love of God. The soul / man who has first reached it can only cry in his despair. Who will free me. HELP I HAVE LOST: Rom.7: 24. The law is then a chastening Master for Christ. Gal.3: 24. The only hope for such a human being is now. That Jesus Christ will deliver it, from the curses of the law.
In order for us to understand a little of the meaning of the law and its teachings, we will review a little of the meaning together. Look at the thoughts Paul had revealed by God through the Holy Ghost. Paul did not speak of himself but by the mouth of God he also received this message to us in the same way Jesus will make things alive for us today. After talking about liberation from the law, Paul continues with a very strong portrayal. Of the bitter struggle that takes place within a person's interior, inside a person who loves the law of God. But who have not understood the deliverance from the law of sin and death, by believing in Jesus Christ as being the Son of God. Jesus the Crucified and Resurrected Lord and Savior. Or to you who have not managed to receive your liberation from the law of slavery. Whatever intentions Paul had when he wrote the much-discussed chapter 7 to the Roman congregation. Then we can safely say that it is a picture painted before our eyes, of people who were law-bound and bound by its requirements, but so earnestly desire to do the will of God, and are in deep distress. You can safely say. We are dealing with a human being who is dying. The law was given to teach us what sin is "I had not known sin without the law." 7: 7. If, for example, God had not given a law that said, "Thou shalt not covet," how then could we know that it is sin to covet? Rom.7: 7.
I had not come to know sin without the law. I did not know there was anything called death. If it did not say. The wages of sin is death. The thinking of the apostles in the fifth to eighth chapters is simply the point reached after the slavery of the law. You die, the fight ends. It is the point that happens as a real experience in a person's life. We only experience this if we have each gone through it, or lived in faith from within. No one can skip a single one of the rules God has set for the walking of our Christian faith in the Spirit. We must all first be buried and die. Just as one sows a grain, it must die first before it can grow and bear fruit. In the same way, all points must be experienced on one's own body, and lived in the inner Spiritual human being / creature.
You can not take it as a kind of theory where you just like thinking. We are different people, we each have our own personality. No. There is no personal reputation with God. In the eyes of God, we are all one. We have to go through the same things. We are equal in the eyes of God. Ie. You must first go through. Rom.1-7. before you can go to Rom.8. Which is in line with a wonderful and wonderful Christian life by dying. But, that was also the meaning of the law. That we should all die. Die away from ourselves Be like the co-crucified with Jesus on the cross. These chapters, we may more or less ladle each have gone through or lived through in faith. Only those who have passed from the law of death to the life of Christ know exactly what is being said. When we talk about By the law, I'm dead to the law. For me to live completely before God.
It is necessary that we go through the various stages. A child must always learn to crawl before it can go. But now we have come so far, in the walk of our faith, that we can rightly and honestly also say. For by the law I died before the law, that I might live before God. Gal.2: 19. And now be able to look at things from Paul's views and have the same position as Paul had. Clearly, we now see why the law came into being. "The law was made that the fall might be greater, Romans 5:20. No matter how much we want to discuss it, the law came with only one purpose. Namely, to show us our sins. Show us that we are lost without believing in Jesus. It was only the intention of God's love to draw us into His Son Jesus Christ. To show us. There is only salvation by believing in Jesus Christ and remaining in the faith of the Cross and its powerful deliverance, from any form of law slavery. Let us sincerely sit down to break, a every slavery of judgments. The law of sin and death is broken.
No matter how abominable and disgusting we may think sin is, we must pass on God's love letter from Jesus. But we can do nothing if we ourselves are not freed from all law bondage and the burdens of sin are completely laid at the cross. We ourselves, each and every one, must accept grace and forgiveness, the liberation from the law. Before we can pass it on. A blind person can never guide a blind person. We must just be formed by faith so that we are a faithful copy of Jesus and the whole being of His mind must be openly visible to all around us. No one who is under the law can set others free. It is therefore extremely important that we do not just regard Paul as a historical person. But we learn from the Word of God today.
It is not for nothing that Paul asks the Galatians who has bewitched them. The same thing the Holy Spirit asks of us through Paul's Word to us. Who has bewitched us. Distorted the truth about the cross and the law? Have we not soon come to know the true picture of the Christian life? Or are we going to have milk instead of whole foods again? Began in Spirit and complete in flesh? Do we believe that God's grace is even more abundantly rich? Especially after we have gone through a bit of the meaning of the law. We know the brand, after bitter experience and meeting the law. That sin gained dominion over us.
We have all sinned and lack the righteousness of God. We can ask ourselves. Have you received the right skill of God? By believing that we are free from the law? The law that gave sin dominion over the sins of the poor. Let us now continue to consider the Word, see how the law works and thereby bring souls to an end with themselves, ready, ready to be redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. So that the freedom of Jesus reigns and reigns in the living born-again human being. We thus see that it is only by death that grace, in Jesus Christ, can come to reign Because, nothing but death can redeem a sinner from his chains. The wages of sin is death, and the wages of sin must be paid. The death sentence must be carried out.
Have you fully received the sentence of your death over the curses of the law in your life? But at the death of Christ, which the representative of man suffered, d ommen fulfilled, and therefore the dominion of sin has come to an end in all who have died with the crucified Lord. In the same way, the believer dies from the law, which sentenced him to death. Unified with Christ in His death, he is "by the body of Christ dead from the law" Rom.7: 4.
He is thus freed from its demands / demands or power. In that he is dead away from that which he is held captive under. Rom.7: 6. The law can not say to someone who is dead: you must. Through the gate of death, the believer has passed into another sphere where the law cannot follow him. He is "in Christ Jesus" and now serves God in a new way, with a new Spirit and in happy obedience, and not as before in a forced, slavish obedience to the letter of the law. Did the evil he did not want. Could not do the good he wanted. Here the question arises: Shall we then say that the law, which is given by God, is sin? "No, far from it!" Replies the apostle.
And then he shows the reason why the law was given. He shows how the law works in practice by leading the sinner to where he is ready to be delivered by the crucified and risen Lord, for the message of deliverance through death with Christ comes only as a joyful message. God has called us all to freedom through Jesus Christ God has offered us freedom from the law of sin and death. Slavery can cease, here and now if we then surrender to the death of Jesus and the life of His resurrection.
So the law is good when it is used in the right way of God. Because we now see that. The law was given to lead us to death. So I have to die before I can have life and live a God-pleasing life. This applies to us who once lived under the law. But when the message came. Lived sin up and I died. Rom.7: 19. You can tell a child. You may not. And what does the child do then? It does what you do not want it to. In exactly the same way we are before God. We always do everything we are not allowed to do. We immediately feel like everything we basically know is not good. Once I knew nothing of God's requirements, “I lived without law.” I thought all was well, but suddenly I came face to face with my Creator: you must, and you must not, you must, and you must not.
Something in me woke up and went against the law of God. The sin that had been dead was revived. I discovered that I was helpless and could not obey the law. Sin arose by the very commandment of God, and asserted his power and his claim upon me. I truly found it stronger than myself. It seduced me. I had to give in to its temptations and knew the consequence was dead. It, so to speak, "killed me" (v. II) by showing me that for me there was only the wages of sin - death - left. God's commandments should have led me to live a better life, but instead they let me sink deeper into the helplessness and hopeless despair of death. I died (v. 10).
The law was given to show the boundless sinfulness of sin "So the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good, that sin, by the commandment, might manifest itself in its boundless sinfulness." 7: 12-13. Sin manifests itself as sin by the sanctity of the law! How wonderfully the Creator's plan is devised in the direction of teaching the creature, who has no concept of sin, what sin is, and even more to let him know his need for salvation. But in order to obtain deliverance from the bondage of sin, it first had to manifest itself in its boundless sinfulness.
Disgusting, hated and loathed, and the desire to get rid of it could arise. The need for a Savior must be born before the Savior Himself can be welcomed. We must see the depth of the fall before we can recognize the height, depth, breadth, and length of salvation. Through the commandment, which is "holy and just and good" and through man's vain efforts to fulfill it, God brings him to know himself and his position. The law leads to the helplessness of death. “Sin brought death upon me. Rom.7: 13. »Sold as a slave under sin. Rom.7: 14. »/ Me, that is to say: in my flesh, nothing good dwells. Rom.7: 18. Yes, there is deliverance when the soul is ready to be delivered.
The "miserable man" has cried out for help and confessed that he is unable to free himself. The pride of life has been broken down. The "inner man," who wanted to obey the law, has, despite all efforts to do "the good," been unable to overcome himself or his sins. He has so far not understood the full message of the cross. He has not seen death with Christ and his deliverance in Christ from the tyranny of sin and the demands of the law. And it was in this bitter struggle that he had to get to know his need.
Perhaps he believed that the "inner man" by the gracious assistance of God would be able to please God; and after beginning in the Spirit by reconciliation with God through the blood of the cross, he might be perfected (or grow in grace) by the flesh! No, you wretched man, turn again to Calvary. You need a new power within you - the power of the Holy Spirit; because only the law of the Spirit of life in Christ can set you free through the work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. The law, which you in your own power has struggled to obey, for only rules over a human being as long as it lives Rom.7: 1. You were crucified with your Savior, you died with Him, you died by the body of Christ from the law; by believing in the power of God, do you believe it?
So when you died, you were freed from the requirements of the law. You are united with Him, "who was raised from the dead" (7: 4), and trusting that He works in you, the law of the Spirit of Life sets you free in Him, and when the Son frees you, you must be really free. Johannes. 8.36.
You will see that what was impossible for the law, which, so to speak, commanded you "from without," may the Son of God, who was sent to die in your place, work within you. As you surrender to the Spirit of God and no longer walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit, the requirements of the law are fulfilled in you, the requirements that it so thoroughly missed for you to fulfill. Dear friend! you have lived under uninterrupted judgment, but there is' no reading of judgment or condemnation. Rom.8. for those who have cried out for deliverance by Jesus Christ our Lord, and who have known the answer of death in themselves: that they could not trust in themselves, but only in God, who raises the dead.
No one who is born again should be a slave to the earth law of condemnation. Which torments and torments them night and day. With thoughts of I am not doing enough for Jesus. I sin daily and only deserve staff. Dear friend. Sin and punishment have been laid on Jesus Christ for you to be free. In Christ Jesus, the power of a new law is experienced, the law of life, the Spirit, which frees from the old law of sin and death. “For freedom Christ has set us free. Now therefore stand fast, and be not entangled again in the yoke of bondage! ”Gal. 5: 1. Make sure that you are led by the Spirit and walk step by step in the Spirit. Romans 8: 4-5:
See that by the Spirit you kill the works of the body, then you will live, and all slavish fear of God will disappear. You must be assured that you are a child of God, and when you are a child, then you are also heir, heir of God and heir of Christ, so true you suffer with Him, you must also be glorified with Him. Romans. 8. 17.
The folly of the cross and the wisdom of God
1 Corinthians 1 Cor 1: 18-31
v18 Surely the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God v19 - it is written:
The wisdom of the wise I will destroy,
the wisdom of the wise I will destroy.
v20 Where are the wise men, where are the scribes, and where are the wise men of this world? Has not God made the wisdom of the world foolish? v21 For God in his wisdom did not want the world to know him by his own wisdom, God decided to save those who believe by the foolishness preached about. v22 For Jews demand signs, and Greeks seek wisdom, v23 but we preach Christ crucified, an indignation of the Jews, and a folly of the Gentiles; v24 but for those who are called, Jews as well as Greeks, we preach Christ as the power of God and the wisdom of God. v25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For remember, brethren, what it was like for yourselves when you were called: You were not many wise men in the worldly sense, not many mighty, not many noble. v27 But that which is foolishness in the world, God chose to put to shame the wise, and that which is weak in the world, God chose to put to shame the strong, v28 and that which the world looks down on, and who is despised, that which is nothing, God chose to make that which is something, to nothing, v29 that no one should have anything to be proud of before God. v30 But because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who has become wisdom to us from God, both righteousness and sanctification and redemption, v31 so that "he who is proud will be proud of the Lord," as it is written
How was Jesus crucified?
Will we believe in the Truths today as before? Will we believe in the God of Jesus the Bible? Or will we quietly be seduced further and further away from God and Jesus and the living words of the Bible? Has Christian judgment become a religion, just like all other religions where we believe it is so and, such but in reality it is not as we believe and say.
Why do we today have a great deal of confusion regarding the "right" church / congregation?
The answer is.
We listened to human theories. We began to question the credibility of the Bible. We began to listen to people's interpretations and their own perspectives on the Bible.
We did not always take God's commandments seriously, especially the making of idols, taking all sorts of things into the churches / congregations. We did not always hear when God said. I do not want My house to be a bullet of a place where everything other than My kingdom takes place.
We all sit and study the words of the Bible. We want God's way. God's will we will not be seduced risk we get astray being entangled in lies and deception of false religious spirits deception in human brain which is similar to Christians but is not.
Unfortunately, the teachings and words of the Bible in the Acts of the Apostles about the leadership and edification of the church / congregation have been redone in many places, but the people themselves select themselves, according to how skilled they are in themselves.
THE CROSS AGAIN AND AGAIN
How can it be that many depictions of Jesus on the cross are wrong? When people were crucified in their time, they were nailed through wrists and ankles, but many depictions of Jesus on the cross show that he was nailed through hands and feet, and now someone claiming Jesus was piled
How can anyone get a different story out of the Jesus of the Bible than the one He really is? How can anyone dare to falsify the words of the Bible? Some are so far advanced in their forgeries of Jesus that they have made their own translations of the Bible they deny the Son of Jesus the crucified and risen Savior. Some even reproach the eternal judgment of God so that perdition is adapted to human humanism which is part of the spirit the antichrist has begun to spread on earth to seduce and demean the believing people of Jesus today.
Anti means against Christ. They oppose virtually all other Christians.
In fact, the Bible says nothing about how Jesus was crucified.
The only thing we hear is that Jesus himself carried his cross out to Calvary, where he was crucified. However, Luke 24:39 and John 20:25 indicate that Jesus got nails through his hands.
The fact that Jesus himself carried his cross may well be that He himself carried the cross on his shoulder and then was crucified on that tree on the hill of Calvary. Today we have scientific evidence for. Jesus really was crucified and not hung on a stake. That was the way the criminal was treated at the time.
On the whole, there are very few descriptions of how crucifixions took place. It was a very cruel undertaking, which the secular historians of the day withdrew to describe in detail. However, archaeological finds have shed light on it. In connection with the crucifixion of Jesus, in particular, a find near Jerusalem is of the bones of a man believed to have died in the period between 7 and 66 AD. This man has been nailed through the wrists and has had one nail through both heels. It indicates that most of the weight has been carried by a plank or peg that has supported the seat portion so that the legs have been bent at the knee and twisted backwards so that the calves lay parallel to the crossbar of the cross with the ankles gathered under the seat.
This means that the traditional ecclesiastical depictions of Jesus' crucifixion are flawed in several respects. The reason is that those who made the pictures did not have knowledge of how it actually went. Helped on the way by the above-mentioned scriptures, however, one has been able to conclude that Jesus may have been nailed through hands and feet (a more correct translation is consequently 'wrist').
We can well say. These are fake pictures and paintings when someone puts a person up on a cross or a pole to oxygenate it is Jesus. They have not seen Him themselves, they have not themselves been at the crucifixion of Jesus. Here we must seriously take up a question? Can we afford to make pictures of God, Heaven, angels, the Devil, and Jesus. When God explicitly says we must not make ourselves an image of either what is up in Heaven or under the earth, Read them for commandments!
We need to get those iconic images out of our minds and stick to the words of the Bible. The same is true when making Christian films. Can they afford to make a person to oxygenate God, Jesus' Angels, Satan? Of course we want to oxygenate the Bible and we do it to testify of God and Jesus but we make pictures icons as we have no clue idea ofwhat they look like and many believe it is the way it is shown!
Here we Christians must take a serious stand against our conscience.
Will we help to give false icons and images that go directly against God's ten commandments?
Written sources confirm the crucifixion of Jesus
Outside the Bible, Jesus appears, among other things. in a number of Roman historians.
For example, Tacitus (56-120 AD) in the work Annales tells that Christians are named after "Christ, whom the procurator Pontius Pilate under the ruler Tiberius had had executed".
Extensive descriptions
Josephus (ca. 37-100 AD) refers twice to Jesus in his large 20-volume work Antiquitates Judaicae. In volume 20, he mentions Jacob, who was "the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ."
The most comprehensive description, however, is found in volume 18, where Jesus is called "a wise man" who did "wonderful deeds". Josephus also writes of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection "on the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold."
Agreement on crucifixion
Volume 18’s authenticity, however, is hotly debated, and some historians believe that the passage was later rewritten by Christians. Based on the historical sources, virtually all historians agree that Jesus lived for approx. 2,000 years ago in today's Israel.
And Jesus was and did as the Bible tells us.
Counterfeit relics brought wealth
In the Middle Ages, Europe was flooded with Christian relics, and swindlers made fortunes on "holy" things nstande, which reportedly had belonged to Jesus.
We see this clearly within the system of the Catholic Church where they have abused the Christian faith to have their own papal kingdom gilded which will not exist on the day of God's judgment.
Did Jesus even exist?
The answer is yes, Jesus is a real person.
It also believes a majority of archaeologists, historians and others dealing with the history of Christianity.
But there is no irrefutable evidence to support his existence. There is no grave, no words from his hand, no records from the people who experienced his spectacular life.
For example, it might be obvious that his orbiter, the historically correct Pontius Pilate, who sentenced him to death and had him crucified, had written about it in a diary or in an official document. But it is not so.
The clues that exist date back to the time after his death. In other words, they are stories that have been told to each other until at some point they have been written down. And oral tradition, as you know, is always uncertain.
The Bible's stories about Jesus, which we find in the New Testament, are thus much younger than Jesus himself. The oldest part of the scriptures is the Gospel of Mark, which was written about 70 years after the death of Jesus.
For science, it is especially the number of indirect proofs that makes his existence probable. There are several independent descriptions or records, even if they are not recorded in his lifetime, they describe events from about years 2-6 before our time to years 30-36.
These years are reasonably certain, as they harmonize with a number of historical events, which are touched on in several places in the Bible.
Many sons of God
Jesus was far from the only one who walked around and preached during that period. It was crowded with people who felt called to tell about the word of God and convert Gentiles and other unbelievers. Experts therefore believe that Jesus was such a preacher or doomsday prophet - and perhaps even a charlatan who had or could show incredible abilities!
We who believe in Jesus know and believe He is God's only begotten Son who has come into the world as the Savior of the world.
The throng of preachers in Israel and Palestine at that time arose because it was believed that the return of the Messiah (a heavenly Savior sent by God himself) was near.
Jesus had first come to Israel his own but they did not accept Jesus, denied pretty much everything regarding He was to be the Son of God, therefore come the gospel Jesus to us Gentiles so that the number of Gentiles God has given can be fulfilled.
According to some, the visit of this supernatural person even foretold the end of the world, also known as the Apocalypse. Some knights of fortune therefore took the matter into their own hands, and threw themselves into a life as self-proclaimed sons of God or chosen preachers. We have the same thing today in many religious organizations. They think they are God's specially chosen, they make systems with hierarchies where they insert by both laying on of hands and anointing specially chosen, but they are the 144000, in Joh Åb which is a small remnant of the Jews and not a single heathen.
They believe they are to judge the earth on the thrones even though the Bible says Jesus has already ordained the 12 who are to judge the nations. Which is directly false according to the words of the bible and will for their self-exaltation make God's eternal judgment feel on their own body and it is forever.
Not even the evidence of science and archaeologists believe such religiously obsessed people. That despite them themselves standing with some scientifically uncertain evidence of their claim and religion.
The Romans wrote about Jesus. Two sources are science's best bid to establish the existence of Jesus. None of them are part of the Christians' own descriptions, which is crucial, because myth and reality are easily mixed together in the story of Jesus.
The two sources are both Roman historians. The Romans had at that time occupied the territory where Jesus and his disciples lived.
One is Josephus, who in the year 94-95 AD. writes a historical work on the history of the Jews.
During a description of how a high priest performed a series of executions of persons whom the authorities did not like, this phrase suddenly appears: the brother of Jesus, the Christ called Jacob ”(Antiquities 20: 9).
This casual remark is so far from a mythical and divine description that it is an important clue to serious scientists.
Jesus is also mentioned in several other places in Josephus' work.
Also the historian Tacitus mentions Jesus in a very sober form. He describes in a work from the year 116 that the Christians had a figure they worshiped, which was called Christ. His life ended when he was executed on the orders of Pontius Pilate.
The historical framework
In the Bible, the mythical material about Jesus is intertwined with real historical events and people. It is for science another testimony that Jesus really did exist. The aforementioned Josephus thus also tells in detail about John the Baptist, Pontius Pilate and King Herod, which we also hear r about in all four gospels of the New Testament.
Some even go so far as to suggest that the original group of Christians was led by John the Baptist, but that Jesus by virtue of his charisma took over the leadership at some point. John came before Jesus to testify of the Light Jesus came at God's appointed time to testify and preach about the kingdom of God.
THE CROSS STANDS UNRELAKABLE IS BOTH SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN IN THE BIBLE, BY COOLS, AND BY GOD BY THE HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF WHO IS THE SPIRIT CONVINCING THE WORLD AND THE RELIGIOUS SO-CALLED SPECIAL SENGES.
THE CROSS IS THE CENTRAL OF LIFE.
It is by believing in the cross and its folly (idiocy) for many that you begin with Jesus. It is by faith in the cross that you are saved. You can not even read about the cross, and then just believe in it. It is something the Holy Spirit puts into your heart. At your personal new birth, God, through the Holy Spirit, plants the cross of Jesus within you. If you are in doubt about whether you are born again, read on. (Joh Ev 3).
When you are born of Spirit and water (the word of God), you receive the revelation of the Spirit about the work of the cross in your life. The cross and its idiocy shine like a shining light into your heart / mind. That way, your Christian life becomes a living life, and not theoretical without practical life. Pray for whatever you want and you will get it if you pray the prayer of faith.
This is often the case for Christians.
You go to meetings, you hear sermons, and that is the whole purpose of their God's service, then we are with you. People then serve in the church, and come and hear the Word, but God wants far more than that.
God wants His Word to enter your heart / mind and become your whole life. One can say the Word engulfs you so that you no longer live in your own mental faith and knowledge. A living Christian life is not just such that you only have a spiritual understanding, not just such that you now believe, now I can make use of it because, now I know so and so much. It must be your whole understanding, your whole confession, your whole life. You must personally, walk and live in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, in the life and teaching of the Holy Spirit, otherwise you are still as dead, spiritually speaking, as before you began to take an interest in the cross, God and Jesus.
You are saved by Spirit and water.
Jesus is the water of God, the living word is the Holy Spirit in you. You must be engrossed in the Word, totally enveloped in it, only then can it work out through you, then things happen completely without you doing anything. You just can not stop talking about God and Jesus, because you are filled with the Word of God and not the faith and knowledge of your own mind. Only there can you say that Christ dwells in you completely, and the cross has made its effect.
Where do you see it most?
You do just that in the situation where you are in the most hopeless situation of all, where there is no human hope anymore and where everything seems to go under and you have no solutions or resort anymore. In the greatest tribulation you see it. Where all your emotions want to go a completely different path, where you think, purely human. Now both God and humans must be able to understand you. And then it is clear that right now you do not have to live, it can not be required of you that I should live this life of Christ right now.
When the mists lift and the burdens are taken off your shoulders, you again have a great desire to live the life of Christ. When should I really be happy? When the tribulations are greatest., Always rejoice in the Lord again I say you rejoice. Because joy is not of yourself, but of God.
If you are in faith on the cross with Jesus, you will not be able to look either to the right or to the left, nor back. You can only look straight ahead and forward, your arms and legs are nailed to the tree of the cross.
Are you there with Jesus? Is Jesus' crucifixion your life?
Is it really possible? Yes. Whether you are in the word by your faith. In Colossians 1 verse.13. Our Apostle Palaus says this to you. You must live in the Word, which is the light that shines on you on your way. He who freed us from the power of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His Beloved Son. It's a revelation, it's a real revelation. It is something that must come into your life, like a light, so that you live and understand from it. You must live in Him, ie. in the Word in the word that became flesh and dwelt in you by the Holy Spirit who dwells in everyone who is born again. God who freed you from the power of darkness and led you into the kingdom of His beloved Son.
I just can not figure out all that.
I sin, I have done this and do and think this and that. I'm probably not really a Christian. Etc. what else the Devil can accuse you of in your thoughts to, if possible, get you away from Jesus and out of the Word. It is part of the power of darkness that is around you, such thoughts are as you read about in Ephesians chapter 5, glowing arrows sent from Satan against you to make you believe in the life of the lord of the lie and think his thoughts.
The power of darkness.
The power of darkness is the realm of the devil (Lucifer). It is the Devil's accusation against man, in which you have darkened his power. The power of darkness is that of sin and sickness territory. This is where sin and disease really take hold. It is the realm of depression and insanity. Everyone who lives in that life lives under the power of darkness. It is the realm of the world and the flesh, it is the power of darkness. Everything in this world of the temptations and desires of the spirit of the time belongs to the power of darkness. And then it says. God who freed you from the power of darkness. Rejoice in the kingdom of the Devil, rejoice in the dominion of the prince of darkness, rejoice in the kingdom of sickness and madness, rejoice in the realm of depression, rejoice in the realm of the world and the flesh, and transfer to the kingdom of His Beloved Son in instead of. That's what you need to understand. He who betrothed you. So it has happened. That's what it says. You are free from it. But not everyone accepts it in faith. Many deny that this has happened. You are bought free by the cross and blood of Jesus, you are no longer a slave of Satan, you have received a new spirit, the Holy Spirit, if you stay on the cross, in the word by faith, you have already conquered everything, with Jesus and you are free.
The fight is over.
There stood. Who betrothed you out and led you over. The battle is over! It is over. You are saved. Jesus Christ has triumphed over all evil. You must not fight a battle that Jesus has won. However, many Christians have what is called chest trauma, and dream and fantasize about the war with Satan. Just like on the battlefield. That after the war is won and over and peace is concluded. Are there many soldiers lying there at home with war traumas. Dreaming and fantasizing that they are still at war, that there is still fighting, that they can still lose. They have taken great, great damage during the war. They refuse to believe that victory has been won, it simply can not really dawn on them, they have been so long in the war, and fought against the enemy with great danger to their lives, that they do not understand at all that it is over, and the peace pact has been entered into. But the war is over. The war is over. You found down in Japan, a few years ago, a soldier who was still at war, he was on guard, it was despite it being 45 years since the war ended. He refused to believe that the war was over, no one had ever told him that, and he was only persuaded when his commander-in-chief was persuaded to come and convince him that the war was long over. Thus, it can also be difficult to believe that the war ended over 2000 years ago. Jesus has won. He has freed you from the power of darkness and He has led you into the kingdom of His beloved Son, you are set with Jesus Christ by the cross of the kingdom of God. Does Satan have any access there? Has he not been cast out of Heaven and defeated by Jesus on the cross once and for all? What do you think? Lift up your head boldly and lift up the shield of your faith, extinguishing all, not just anyone, the glowing arrows of the enemy. (Ephesians. The letter about the armor you are wearing).
What to do now.
In 1 Peter 9.10 it says. What is it then that you should do, from the kingdom of His Beloved Son? 1.Pet.9.10. He who forgets this is blind in his short-sightedness and has forgotten that he has been cleansed of his past sins. Therefore, you must strive much more to make your calling and selection unshakable. If you do, you will never stumble / fall. You have been forgiven and cleansed from all your sins by the blood of Jesus, your accusing letter of guilt nailed God to the tree of the cross by placing all your sin and guilt on the Son Jesus, whom you have redeemed. You are redeemed, redeemed beforehand by the blood of the cross of God.
You have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ from all your past sins, and you must firmly establish your calling and selection, for you will never stumble / fall. It tells you that the Word of God is not something you just have to hear superficially, the Word is something you have to take in and make into your life so that you become steadfast in all the conditions and situations of your life. So you scroll. no longer emotionally running up and down. Because. you have my life in God. You have your life in Christ. Do you feel that you are still in the faith of Christ? The life you got in God is a life that grows, but you can not decide for yourself how fast. That life growing is alive because you took the time to do it. You give your life food / nourishment through God's living abiding word, by you fill yourself with the word you grow.
By studying the Word of God you grow in God, by praying in faith you get this life in Christ, by the grace of God by believing in the Gospel for the salvation of your soul.
Do not be ashamed.
Romans 1.16 says. I'm not ashamed of the gospel because. It is a power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jews first, and then to the Greeks. You are called out of the world to preach / tell the word of God, not only that but also so that you can live the gospel in your daily life. You are not ashamed of that gospel because it has become more than your thoughts. It has become life.
The way of living has become the gospel. Salvation is not that you understand that you are saved and have eternal life. Salvation is that it is lived by you in your everyday life. That is the transformation. It is the life that has transformed many people's lives from the bottom up. Jesus does not begin to build from above first. Think about not building our houses by just making a chimney like this in the open air and then you build it down otherwise, it just can not be done woe! This is how Jesus does. He breaks down all the strongholds of your own thoughts first, gets rid of the old ruin and then He builds you and on His body as a building where you are is a stone along with the others which are also being rebuilt. You are His house as He wants it built, and it is from scratch, with Himself as the cornerstone. You are allowed to see that transformation and you are allowed to see the growth of the transformation. Where do you see it? Yes, in life situations. If in the life situations you still react as when you were an unsaved carnal, then there has been no transformation, then the gospel has not been allowed to transform, and you probably know that yourself. If you really know the power of the gospel in your life, then you also see that now you act differently than you did before when you get into the different situations. And you also experience growth as life progresses. All these emotional struggles you had before end because the Gospel of God comes before the carnal emotions, that is salvation. It is the salvation we are offered in the gospel. You are simply saved from yourself. Oh what liberation is not it to be free from your own thoughts, the passions and desires of the flesh.
All because of Jesus' blood on the cross, with which you now have complete free access to God and you can go straight into the Most Holy and there get everything you need, also power, love and boldness, so you are not ashamed of Jesus cross and his Gospel for your and the world's salvation.
You have no reason to be ashamed of the gospel because you know deep down inside yourself that this very gospel has worked salvation in you. Even when you face those who have never encountered the gospel of salvation and do not understand the power of the gospel, you can say with boldness without feeling ashamed that you know the gospel works! It's clearly those you're facing, do not understand you, if they have never experienced it, and when they then go against you with their questions of doubt, it means nothing to you, not even as much as a gust of wind because, you have seen the gospel works, yes you have experienced it yourself. I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is a power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.
Salvation is not just that you have to go home to Heaven someday, or now you are taken out of a world and put into a church and you are among the saved, the others are just the lost. Salvation is something far more pervasive, it is a transformation of the mind. The gospel of God is power for the transformation of the mind so that you no longer live in the unworthy thoughts and actions of your old mind. 1st Cor. 1.18. The word about the cross is probably for those who are lost, but for us who are saved it is a power of God. The power of the gospel is the cross. It is the cross that is the real power of the Gospel to complete salvation from your own life and from the sins that are committed.
The simple does not get lost.
Probably it is true that it says that the simple should not get lost. But, if you translate it as the simple one is a bit half stupid then you are translating it incorrectly. The simple one is the one who confines himself to looking at Jesus and when you look at Jesus and exclude other things, people say they are so clever and they have put themselves into all the things of the world and when they then meet you who can only talk about Jesus, then they say you are such a simple little man what do you understand in the world and life! What do you see and experience in life, when we see you, you only talk about Jesus, if you are like that then you are really simple. That's how the simple Bible speaks. And when you are simple in that way, you understand that it really takes light and revelation to understand the cross.
You need more.
You need to know more than that Jesus bore your sins on the cross. You also need to know what the effect and power of the cross is in your own life. You need more than to be told, you need it to be a life where the cross works inside your life all the time. The cross is for those who are lost a folly, but for us as saviors who know the transformation of life, then it is a power of God for our full salvation and redemption from ourselves. It is the power of God in that which transforms your life from within.
Then you can very appropriately ask the question to yourself.
Are you looking for the power that you can be transformed in your life? There are many Christians who seek the power of God, but it is the power of the Holy Spirit they seek so they can do signs and miracles, But, it is a power that comes before because. The very power of the Holy Spirit springs from the cross. Because the whole background of the Holy Spirit is what happened on the cross of Calvary. So the power is in the cross, the cross that so many deny the power of, even among the Christians, the truly transforming kr aft, and if you are looking for the transforming power of the cross in your life then you really need to understand the cross. Not just a knowledge, a knowledge theory, where you probably know a lot, but a living crusade where you die more and more away from yourself and everything you tried to change in your own life for, if possible, to live up to God's standards.
People are demanding.
1 Cor. 1.22-24 is written there. Jews demand signs Greeks seek wisdom, we who preach against Christ as crucified. For Jews an indignation and Gentiles a folly / idiocy. Such was the case In Paul's day, such was the case in Jesus' day.
Jesus met nothing but those who called themselves the people of God (the Jews are God's first born people.). They said let's see you do signs in sun and moon then we will believe in you.
When Paul came out to the Gentiles, they had gained lots of wisdom (knowledge / knowledge), they sought wisdom, when they sought God, they wanted wisdom, logical thinking, an explanation of everything, without their logic things could not be done , all to find God. And then Jesus and Paul come and preach something completely different. Salvation at the cross.
Jews demand signs. Greeks seek wisdom. Yes, but is the world so much different today than it was then? Is the difference so big today? People have always wanted to be smart. Wise in their own thoughts but the simple folly / idiocy of the cross, most will not be known by. As before so now.
Do you know who the modern Jewish Christians are today?
They are the ones who call themselves the people of God and what do they demand today? They seek wisdom, we have enough theologians, they demand signs and miracles. Gold sends, angels visit, revelations, oil flowing from the hands, power that unfolds in a special way so you can see it. Is there such a big difference between God's people today as Jesus and Paul were on earth? No, it's pretty much the same.
So what do the Gentiles demand today? After all, they require wisdom. Gentiles are all the unsaved who do not want to be part of God's people. Healing, philosophy of life, there are lots of people who can sit and philosophize about life, Rudolf Stener theory, they have large occult temples where you can come in and try it all out. Is the difference as awful now as when Jesus was on earth?
There is a people who found.
In the midst of all this, there is a people who have found the power of the cross. Who have found the power of the cross in their lives. Do you have that power for your salvation? It was also then that only a small people found the power of the cross. The same is true today, not everyone who comes to a congregation / church today has found this power for salvation and full redemption. Because it was a folly / idiocy then for humans and it is also a folly / idiocy for humans today. The power is in the cross.
It says in Philippians.3.18. Many walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. After all, they are preoccupied with all of the above. The cross has slipped out of their lives in favor of other things. It does not have to have slipped out of their thoughts but it has slipped out of their lives as a force for transformation. Today, there are even some who have come so far in their crucifixion that they believe Jesus was not crucified at all, they believe they have evidence that it was a different kind of tree than the cross Jesus was hung on. They do not believe that the power of the Holy Ghost is on earth anymore, they believe it disappeared when the first apostles died. And when God does a miracle for a human being, it is also explained away.
We have to say. The Antichrist is far ahead today. The teachings of the false prophet have their fingers far, far inside the congregations / churches today. In many places, the denial of the cross is so pervasive that they no longer have a cross in their congregations. All that with the cross is preached only quite loosely as a kind of point of view and not as a life of salvation.
It is only through the power of the cross to salvation that you are transformed into equal with Jesus, and that is an inner transformation. You may find a new kind of lifestyle where you live healthier, go to church for meetings, services and participate in a whole lot of activities within the congregation / church, but, if the cross of God by the Holy Spirit is planted firmly inside you, you are only religious without living the faith and life of God.
That's right you have to learn. You must enter into the gospel of God for your salvation, and submit to the word of God, so that you live in the word and not in yourself. But, if you deny the cross of God, and the life of the cross by not believing in the power and life of the cross for your salvation, you will be as lost as before you began to take an interest in God and life as a Christian.
They have won.
Revelation 12.11 says. And they have triumphed over him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of their testimony, and they did not have their lives too dear to die. I am not ashamed of the gospel, it is a power of God for salvation for Jews first and then for Greeks (Gentiles).
Is it here you have heard the life you live and are a part of?
How is it with your own faith inside you?
Living the faith and works of God high together.
Without the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus over and in your life, you will not be able to enter the kingdom of God and will be lost. Jesus clearly says. Maybe I, Jesus, will find faith on earth when I come. Where are you in your life?
In Jesus? On the cross or do you deny the folly / idiocy of the cross as the power of your salvation?
Blind to the truths.
Nothing would please Satan more than to blind your eyes to the truth that you, as a Christian, can have victory in your life. It does not worry him that you have knowledge of the victory, and probably know how your life should be in victory, as long as you do not apply it in your life.
In Romans 6, Paul says to you. You must consider yourselves dead to sin, and alive to God in Christ.
You have probably asked yourself, how can I make it work in practice? How does it become a reality in my life to count myself as dead to sin?
You who are a believer are responsible for counting what is true for true. It's not enough you know it's how you must apply it in your life if you want a transformation.
You must know that your death with Christ is a real fact. In Rome. 6: 6. Paul clearly says this by writing: We know that our old man was crucified with Him, that the sinful body might lose its power, we should no longer be slaves to sin. You must reckon that this historical fact is true and worth believing. Just as you reckon that it is true that Jesus died on the cross for all your sins, you must, in faith, count yourself as being co-crucified on the cross so that you are no longer forced to live in sin.
Without your personal faith in the Truths of God's Word that the Apostles teach you, you will not be able to live out the victory in your life.
Jesus Christ died not only for your sins, but all your old nature died with Him on the cross. If Jesus did not die for your sins, there would be no justification, and if you did not die from the power of sin, there would be no victory for you as a Christian. Just think of how you as a believer received forgiveness for all your sins. Did you ask Jesus to come and die for your sins? No, you were counting on the fact that He was already dead to you. You believed in it and thanked Him for it. What is true of the remission of your punishment for sin is also true of redemption from the power of sin.
Now that you have received Christ Jesus, live your life in Him. Col. 2: 6.
By faith you must reckon with the fact that you also died with Christ from sin and its power over you is broken so that you are no longer forced to be a slave to sin.
It is accomplished.
You may, as many Christians do, make mistakes when you think you have to kill your old man (old Adam) yourself. You might think you need to be crucified now and fight to stay on the cross. When did Jesus Christ die for your sins? Over 2000 years ago. Then you also died from sin. Your death from sin is an overthrown act because the crucifixion of Jesus is over.
You died with Christ, from sin, at the same time that He died for your sins. Therefore, neither you nor other Christians are to be crucified with Him now. It is not a slow death process you have to live in, so you die along the way away from one sin after another. You must not look forward to death either, when one day you leave this earth you are dead from sin, you died with Him when he died on the cross.
You only have one thing to do now. It is to count yourself dead from sin, count on believing that you died with Christ, and not to crucify your sinful nature and yourself even more.
You are crucified.
You must face the truth that all your efforts to bring you together, to control your sinful tendencies, and your work on your old Adam man are totally in vain because you have already died from sin and slavery. Maybe you're asking. So why do I still have problems with sin? It is because, sin did not die, it is you who died from sin. You who believe in Jesus Christ have been crucified with Christ, you have been separated from the demands and power of sin. You do not have to sin and live in defeat.
However, it would like to seize control of you, it would then like you to believe you are still under its power. It is still possible for you who believe to give in to sin, but you are not forced to obey it. You are free to choose the path of sin or the path of God in victory. The power of sin in your life is broken, you are dead on the cross with Jesus Christ, neither sin nor the power of death has any claim on you anymore.
Many deny the cross, which is a foolish thing for those who are lost.
Maybe you refuse to believe the Truth about your co-crucifixion with Jesus Christ? You Believe, Jesus has paid for your sins so you do not come to the judgment for your sins, but you refuse to believe the victory of the cross applies to your defeats and that you are dead with Him. All because you have not yet in faith received this deliverance from the slavery of sin, and let go of your own attempts at self-control, in which you vainly seek to win over yourself and the lusts of your sins. You have only one path to a victory nde life, it is in Christ by faith on the cross also your death with Christ.
Only the victory of the cross can take care of the problem, sin.
It was necessary to treat the cause, the nature of sin / old Adam. Not just the various sins and their consequences for you. The only way God could give you victory over sin was by separating you from your old nature which is also called the old Adam man. God separated you from the sin on the cross. God, do not exterminate the nature of your old Adam. He did not destroy it either, but he separated it. You were separated from the old sinful nature so that you can now live freely in the new nature that you received when you came to faith and were born again. The death of Jesus Christ allows you to be dead with Him. He has at His death once and for all fully brought the sacrifice of death over the power of sin so that you will no longer be a slave to the power of sin.
It is possible for you to have this life in victory.
All things are possible to him who believes, if you just believe in what God's Word you say, and all that you have received in Christ Jesus. God is your Savior from everything, in all things, even in that you can overcome. You triumph in the power of the Spirit of God, not knowing that you now know a great deal about being dead from sin, but knowing that you are. Jesus Christ broke the power of sin over you, Was it yourself who ascended the cross and broke the power of sin? Were you crucified over 2000 years ago? No! What no one else could, not even you, God did when He sent Jesus Christ His Son to atone (pay) for all your past sins and future sins. He put an end to the power of your sins over you. Since the power of sin is thus broken, it is necessary that you reckon it to be true. Just as you count your salvation as true, you must in faith count it as true. You are dead on the cross, sin, and the power of death over you is also crucified on the cross. Count on it, believe it has happened and you will experience it as a real life.
Do you still give in to sin?
If you give in to sin anyway, it will still never be able to change the fact that you are dead from sin, God has done it. Jesus fulfilled the sacrifice of sin once and for all. It is fully brought to an end by the slavery of sin. Many Christians say. These are usually Christian sins. It is a lie. How could you sin when the power of sin is broken and you yourself have died with Christ on the cross, perhaps such Christians have never received their own crucifixion in the face of sin, by believing in the finished work that God through Jesus once for all has done on the cross . I'm not saying you can not fall into a sin, we all can, but a child who falls will probably not be like it, it will probably rise again and move on in faith. You must also do this when you may. goes to fall.
You will be totally tormented if you live as if the power of sin has never been broken. You lose the life force when you give in to the lure of sin and temptation even though you are not forced to. Devil. He has been a liar from the beginning and will try to make you be bound in lies that you are still a slave to sin. You are redeemed, redeemed by the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus Christ for you, you are redeemed, you are no longer bound to the Lord of sin and its power. But the lord of sin through the tempter will do anything to make you believe you are still bound by the power of sin. You must not start believing in lies, but only live in faith in the truth that sets you free. Despite your possible defeat, you must stand up and look to the cross of Jesus. Look to Calvary you weary soul there Jesus has done all things well.
Count yourself dead?
How am I to gain the power that is being talked about by counting myself as crucified and dead from the power of sin in my life? I want to count on what God's Word says, but still I do not quite think it works as it says? As long as you still expect to be able to overcome the sin in your life by working on it on your own, God will not be able to work at all. You have struggled and toiled with yourself, perhaps for years to gain victory over the various things in your life, you have tried to kill your sinful desires, you have tried to crucify your temper, you have toiled and worked, yet you certainly do not feel dead from sin! That way, you are actually working in the nature of your own dead old Adam. You are trying to get yourself, who is dead on the cross redone, you are increasing to make your old nature bow to the will of God, one in spite of the fact that you are a whole new creature in Christ Jesus. You work yourself for the justification of your salvation, you do not see in faith that God has stretched out his hand for salvation and the remission of sins for you, in that Christ died for all your sins once and for all, and thus the power of sin broke over you so you is no longer a slave of the south but a victorious citizen of Heaven instead.
It is not you who must make the victory of the cross again, you must only accept that victory in the belief that it is yours. God has given you that victory once and for all, yet receive it in faith. It's because of your unbelief you do not have the victory you want. It is only when you yourself believe what the Word of God says. That you are dead from sin, that it is true that you will experience the truth in the victory on the cross Jesus won for you. You have to believe in. What God says, He does too. And, He wants you. But, without your faith, it is impossible for you to have the pleasure of God and live much less in this victorious life.
Your life can be like a roaring sea.
You can stand and look at your life and think, this I will never get over, I can not get over my sea of defeat. The accusations roar like the sea against me. Listen right here. When Israel stood before the Red Sea, they had to believe that they were coming over. They were told they had to cross, then they had no choice but to die unless they relied on the power of God to separate the water so they could walk victoriously barefoot. They had to act in faith on the spoken word of God. In order to experience victory in your Christian life and come victorious over your sea, you must surrender completely without first wanting to improve one thing and another in yourself. You must act in the belief that you can count the word of God as true, that you are dead from sin.
You have received everything in Christ.
You got it all, not just part of the Gospel (the glad tidings). Jesus says many times in the Word of God. Your faith has saved you. It is not the faith of your neighbor, the faith of your church that saves you. It is your own personal faith in God and His Word that saves you, also in terms of your victory in Christ and not in yourself. Therefore. Can you, if you believe in it, say no thanks to the lure of sin. You can in faith thank God that you are dead from the power and slavery of sin, you can thank, in faith that you are alive for God and dead for sin, if you do this you will experience. It is not you who lives anymore but Christ lives instead of you by His Spirit in you who raised Him from the dead. If it does not work or happen in your life, it is not because. God has failed, He never fails, He is the rock that stands forever. It is when you do not take God at the Word and act on what you hear and read it is without effect in your life.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness. 1. Joh.1.9.
Do you want to live in freedom from the power of sin?
The truths set you free from sin and the thoughts of the law of death, and you get a too transformed mind by yourself walking in the light, in the life of the word you know, sitting down and listening to the Word of God. That is why you go to meetings, in the church / congregation. You must listen carefully to the sent servants who preach the Word of God and do as they tell you to live. Namely, in faith in the whole gospel.
You must have knowledge before you can live.
The important truths only become your life when you learn about them. Ie. You must first be convinced of the truths before you can live in them. Trying to teach others about the truths of the Bible is of no use if you have not experienced them as your own life and live in what you say. You must know in faith what are really true facts that work before you reckon them for your truths. It is not a question of whether you are now studying the Bible and can memorize a great deal. You must live the Word out in your first before it is life. Words without life are dead words that only fall to the ground as dead theory without real life. This is true of all things, too, of truly living in the life where you have died from sin. You are not dead from sin because. You've read and heard about it and now reckon it's like that. You are dead from sin because. It is so and you have chosen to believe in this truth. You who now believe. Be free to live your righteous life for and with God. The power of sin and death is broken once and for all on the cross.
When you, in faith from the true words of the Bible, have seen that you are dead from sin, and have been raised from the dead life of sin, to a whole new life together and in Christ, then ask God to present these truths to you. Pray that your mind may be enlightened so that you may grasp the true meaning of the truths. Ask God to open your heart's eyes so you can see clearly. Ask God for grace to live this life out in faith in the Truths. As you reckon they are yours, you must ask God to make the results in you so that it is God by the life of the Holy Spirit in you who lives them out. It is not you who lives anymore it is Christ who lives in your place. Is a dead man alive? No! Not you live but Christ lives by his Spirit in you. Thank God for the victory in Jesus Christ, trust in His finished work also over the power of sin in your life. As the brand new creation in Christ says Rome. 6.14 to you. The power of sin / dominion must not have power over you. You are not under the law, but under grace.
When you wholeheartedly ask for these things, remember.
You have a personal responsibility. Do not make your body available to sin as an instrument of injustice, but make your body available to God. As one of those who have come alive from the dead. As instruments of righteousness, you must make your body available to God. (Rom.6.13.)
Reject sin when it tempts.
You know, by faith. You are dead from the power of sin, you do not know no longer need to be obedient to it. Consistently say no to it consistently, and if you surrender the temptation to God, then the Lord God will take care of it. He will make these truths a real living life for you. Since you no longer, but you have been bought free and the price has been paid, then never surrender your limbs to sin. Do not play with the thought of sin, sin will then play with you and you will fall into sin. Make yourself available to God all the time, be prepared to do what He says you should, also be prepared to say no to what God says you should not. Everything you believe in God will do what He says in His Word to you.
Do not lose heart.
Do not lose heart when you discover that you can not attain Christian maturity by a giant step. Satan does not let go of you so easily, he will use all sorts of tricks to, if possible, make you a slave again, by trying to make you fall. Therefore you must submit to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you. Jak. 4.7. You must resist because of your position in Christ. By His death on the cross, He rendered the Devil powerless. (Heb.2.14.) And because you are now in Jesus Christ, you can by your faith resist the Devil's cunning attack and stand with God in armor so that you do not fall (Eph.6). Put on God's complete armor in faith and you will learn that the Devil can not stand against you.
Only one step at a time.
In your Christian life you need to keep in mind. Humans only take one step at a time. You have to learn to crawl before you can stand, when you can, you can walk, when you can walk, you can run. And as you step by step in faith, you will find that these truths become more and more real in your life. Jesus said: If anyone will follow in my footsteps, he must deny himself and daily take up his cross and follow me. Mar.9: 23. Just remember. It must be done every single day. To take up one's cross is to remain in faith on the cross with Christ, to live in faith in the power of the cross to overcome all kinds of sin.
God has made it possible for you to live close to Him in the triumphant life of faith. This is one where you experience God in your everyday life in all things. A life where you are dead but Jesus Christ lives instead of you by His Holy Spirit.
But if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Lord Jesus Christ the righteous.John.2.1.
You are what the Word of God says you are read in faith this.
Be the Word of God do. James' Letter.
To live his life in Christ. Paul Letter to the Romans.
Forgiveness for our sins. 1. Joh. Letter. (1.9).
Your armor. Eph.6.
INTENTION OF THE CROSS
Our Lord Jesus Christ, had a single purpose, an intention to die on the cross. In Heb. 12.2 is written there. That Jesus, in order to have the joy that awaited Him, endured the cross, without heeding the shame.
Where did that joy come from?
Is it a joy that our Lord and Savior endured a cross, and did not care about shame? No. Not seen with our eyes. 1. Peter. 3.18. say. Jesus Christ died so that He could lead you to God.
It is a huge gap between people and God. Sin is the reason for this deep chasm. Just as the prodigal son went to a foreign land, so we all went away, to a foreign land in the eyes of God. We went to the land of sin. Humans had severed their communion and life with God. Stubbornness and rebellion had provoked the divide.
How could a bridge be built over that gorge?
A bridge was needed between us rebellious sinners and the almighty Holy God. There had to be a Calvary's sacrifice to that, which may be the miracle of atonement. To build a bridge over the gorge, between us and God.
Only one way.
There is only one way for us to go, in faith. There is only one way we can come to God. It is the way of the cross, the narrow way. To Jesus Which is the way Truth and Life. Our Lord Jesus said. No one comes to God the Father except through Me. There is no middle ground for God. If you do not walk the blood-stained path of the cross, you cannot come to God and will end up in perdition.
The purpose of the death of our Lord Jesus' cross was to bring us back to God.
In Gal.3.18 it says. Jesus Christ redeemed us from the curses of the law, making Himself a curse for us. For our sake, Jesus became what He died to save us from punishment, because of the broken law. God's law says. The soul that sins must die.
Jesus Christ was born of a woman, like us, born under the law, that he might redeem those who were under the law. Jesus was sinless. God's law could not accuse Him. He could look anyone in the eye and say. Which of you can convince Me of sin? Jesus, the sinless one, took upon himself the curses of the law, and thus set us free from the curses of the law.
You who believe are free.
Pga. Jesus' vicarious death, every believer is free from the punishment for having broken God's law. The storm from Sinai (God's judgment on the unsaved) does not imply any horror to us. We are redeemed from the curse of the law, by Jesus Christ our Lord, who carried all the curse of our sins upon the cross of Calvary.
We became God's righteous
We also read that Jesus Christ died in order for us to become the righteousness of God in Him. To be led to God is good to be forgiven good t, but to be justified, by the grace of God by faith, is is much better. When Jesus Christ died in our place, He made it possible for God to impute to us the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Paul wanted to stand before God, clothed in the righteousness that is in Jesus Christ by believing in Him. He would not stand in human justice. The testimony of Scripture is. That without holiness no one should see God would totally exclude any human being from ever seeing God, if it were not for the death of Jesus Christ, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
The purpose of Calvary enables us to stand before God, clothed in the immaculate, purity of the Son of God.
One of the other goals of the cross.
Paul points to Gal. 1.4 on one of the other dimensions of the cross. Jesus Christ died for us to deliver us from the present evil world. The cry of Calvary is a cry of separation from this world.
The reason why you need to be separated from this world is said with the term. The present evil world. Living in the present and ignoring the future is dangerous. Here it is that materialism comes into living for the temporal (earthly), worldly, the material, is to forget the eternal and the spiritual.
You also need to be saved from the present evil world.
The evil that nailed our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Son of God, fastened to the cross, is a worldly spirit that will also possess and rule you if you allow it.
The intention of the cross of Calvary is also freedom.
The purpose of the cross is to free you completely from the influence of the lord / Satan of the present evil world, so that you can completely do the will of God, not your or the world's. The cross of Calvary stands between every true child of God and the path that rejects the cross of Jesus Christ.
The intent of the cross of Calvary is also communion.
Jesus Christ died for those who no longer live to live for themselves, but for and in Him who died and rose for them. Limited separation from the present world is not adequate (enough).
God wants your life completely 100% surrendered to Jesus Christ.
Dr. Grenfeld in Labrador, was called to a dying man in a fishing boat. When he entered the cabin, the man said. I am the man who was saved two years ago at a meeting in X. The doctor answered very well, what difference has your conversion made in your life? Ask the skipper, replied the dying man. That man had gone into what was intended by the cross of Calvary. He had lived for one and was dead for Him / Jesus.
Finally, the intention of our Lord Jesus' death was on the cross.
God's purpose for Jesus' death on the cross was and is. That we should live with Him in the eternity of Glory. It is one of the great motives for the Golgotha miracle. It was the joy, the joy that lay before Jesus Christ, the joy of bringing many to the glory of Eternity. The joy of sharing all of His glory with us for all eternity.
Come to Jesus Christ today and let the full purpose of the cross be fulfilled in your life.
Amen.
