Exodus 3:1-15
How do we respond when God speaks to us to do something that is far beyond our abilities? Are we full of excuses, and maybe even telling God that He has found the wrong person for the job?
Indeed, this is how Moses responded. Moses had been given the great task of leading the Israelites into freedom, the Lord called Moses to a high level of surrender. If we hope to be able to obediently step into what God calls us to, then we must have answers to the same questions that Moses asked:
WHO IS GOD?
The answer is important because it shows who we recognize as having the authority to tell us what to do. God used 2 names when he answered Moses' question. "The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" (Exodus 3:6 and verse 14)
"I AM WHO I AM! ”.
Those answers showed that the eternal God who keeps his promises and who made heaven and earth - This God, OUR GOD has the right to lead us - and we obediently follow his guidance and call.
WHO AM I?
When Moses asked that question, he clearly showed his uncertainty as to whether he was now also the right one for the task God entrusted him to carry out:
“VERY I WANT TO BE WITH YOU! (v. 12)
Moses could accomplish the task because God chose to use him and he obeyed God.
IN THE SAME WAY IS JESUS AND
THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIVES,
ENOUGH TO GO IN
INTO THE TASKS GOD CALLS
YOU AND US FOR TODAY!
If you have a difficult task to perform, remember that God knows you and me and wants to help us do what He has called us to do. If we refuse to do what He calls us to do, then we lose God's plan for us.
Are you working on your own ambitions - so get out of it?
DO WHAT GOD IS CALLING YOU TO DO!
Never look at what other Christians have for tasks, never make a copy of other people's work, everyone has different tasks in God's kingdom an arm is NOT a leg. Never envy others. Do you do what God in Jesus in you commands you to do and complete your vision God gave you.
Amen
