You are the first to come to Jesus. You invite Jesus in, open your door to Jesus who is knocking on your door today.
Jesus mentions several times that we can come to him, but what does he mean by that?
Coming to Jesus can mean hearing His Word, listening to the Word and letting the Word transform you. Not just knowledge and knowledge of Jesus, but a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
Jesus never rejects you when you come to God through the door Jesus. Today, not yesterday, right now is the time of God's grace for you,
HE WILL MEET YOU TODAY!
When we read our Bible or a devotional, or listen to preaching, let us always ask Jesus: What do you have for me today through your word? He will answer and point to something that can bring renewal, transformation, help, comfort and inspiration into our lives and everyday life.
Coming to Jesus also means that we can come as we are, in the midst of the imperfect life we live. We can bring our shame, our lack of faith, our difficulties, our illnesses and our needs:
We can bring EVERYTHING to Jesus.
When we come to Jesus, he accepts and wants to help us. He wants to guide us going forward. This means that we must renounce self-will and pride and listen to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit within us.
When we come to Jesus, we give him power over our possibilities, over our abilities, over gifts over means over everything we have on loan from him.
Coming to Jesus also means refraining from giving him good advice, and deciding how Jesus should intervene in the situation.
Jesus, then we have His word that He will NOT push us away!
COME TO JESUS TODAY COME TO JESUS WITH YOUR LIFE JESUS COME TO YOU TODAY.
