In my dealings with people, I have over time met many different types of people, destinies and challenges.
Unfortunately, I have often come across people who suffer from inferiority. They don't feel that they are making a difference and can do something well enough - even if they are making a positive difference where they are.
The inferiority may have something to do with appearance, it may have something to do with education or lack of education, rejection in life, or it may have something to do with the relationships we experience, lack of respect and recognition etc.. Unfortunately, it can also be social status or skin color that affects negatively and creates inferiority.
The strange thing about inferiority is that it can affect so widely, including otherwise well-functioning Christian people.
You are valuable, and when inferiority strikes us, it is unfortunately because we compare ourselves to others - and do not feel that we can do the same as them.
Be happy and grateful that you are you and you are.
Bring your inferiority to God - YOU ARE LOVED AND VALUABLE - and He wants to heal you of your inferiority!
THE SELF-PITY
Another thing that I have encountered is self-pity. It eats you up, almost like leprosy and cancer. We may have experienced difficult things in life: disappointments, abuse, illness, rejection, fear - or we have mistakenly compared ourselves to people in our social circle - perhaps from childhood or other things can cause self-pity.
Self-pity is a great enemy, as it causes us to dwell on everything that, in relation to God's Word, we do not think we can live up to. They make us look at ourselves and not at Jesus. We feel sorry for ourselves, and don't feel that anyone understands us, or takes us seriously.
¨
Self-pity does not bring anything good - quite the contrary. Our thoughts run in circles, a negative downward spiral. People around us do not change - and we all too often focus on the negative and this can lead to, among other things, anger that many times ends in bitterness and inferiority, we must hand that over to Jesus who says, come to me Jesus and I Jesus will give you rest.
Self-pity drains one of energy, destroys faith and trust in God and people around us, and keeps us in a situation where we find it difficult to enjoy what is happening around us.
Look up, come to Jesus with what weighs:
HE WANTS TO HELP YOU AND SET YOU FREE. THEREFORE, DON'T THROW YOUR COURAGE AWAY, FOR WITH IT YOU HAVE THE PROSPECT OF A MIGHTY REWARD.
Cast off the chains of your worries Jesus has set you free now,
God can intervene and heal inner wounds and transform our way of thinking and acting in life!
Amen
