2 Believe and be baptized3 pass from the old nature life of the chain Adam's life-
Not only did Christ die for us, but he was raised from the dead and is now at the right hand of God and prays fervently for us. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, be it suffering, hardship or persecution, hunger or poverty, danger or death.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Have you passed from your dead Adamic life to life in and with God, in the life of the Holy Spirit?
It is you who take that step of faith then God takes you by the hand by the life of the Spirit in you.
Are we talking now about natural death?
No, then you do not understand the spiritual life and language. And need your ears to be opened
You must be born again to understand the spiritual language and life.
We are born again by the Holy Spirit coming into our lives.
And then the Spirit interprets the spiritual things for spiritual people. The one who is in the flesh, old Adam, talks mostly about everything else, about their own life, about their things, travels, etc. They do not understand spiritual speech or things.
There are those who hear and hear, yet hear nothing, they say yes amen but quickly forget everything they heard or read in the Bible.
We say richek they are not saved, some are not they have not received Jesus and the Holy Spirit. But one can actually be a believer but carnal. Listen to what the Apostle Paul says
1 COR.3-1 "And, brothers, I could not speak to you as to spiritual, but only as to carnal, as to babes in Christ."
Many Christians are at that stage today. And they are not even saddened to hear it. It all goes over their heads. They have many humanistic works that may be good enough, but they do not bear the fruit of the Spirit.
They try to understand things with the mind, in a spiritual way. And theology flourishes among them.
But the way of the Spirit is unknown to them. They are like the sleeping virgins, do not want to be awakened, do not want to admit/recognize their condition, always many excuses, it is my virginity that is blamed, my life has not been easy, I come from a different country than you, my culture, etc. What use are those excuses for?
The carnal only want the carnal, they have enough ethical laws and ethical rules they believe all Christians should live by, if they don't do it in this and that way they are not really true Christians etc.
GAL. 2-19 BY THE LAW I AM DEAD TO THE LAW, SO THAT I CAN LIVE FOR GOD.
WITH CHRIST I AM CRUCIFIED. "
Here was our death from Adam.
v/20 " AND IT IS NO LONGER I (old Adam) WHO LIVES, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME."
Have you experienced in a "spiritual" way that Christ IS your life?
Otherwise you are still a "carnal" person, as Paul writes and you do not understand spiritual things.
You are carnal/soulful in your understanding of your spiritual position, which God has placed you in.
YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE SPIRITUAL LIFE IN CHRIST.
ASK GOD'S SPIRIT FOR LIGHT!
GAL.5-25 " IF WE LIVE IN THE SPIRIT, LET US ALSO WALK IN THE SPIRIT."
if we live in the understanding of Christ, then let us also live out the understanding of Christ among people."
NO LONGER I LIVE, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME.
And through me to others. Let the world understand this
THAT LIFE IS LIVED BY FAITH. AND NOT BY WHAT WE SEE.
Ask the Spirit to explain it to you.
