IT IS YOU WHO HAS THE LIGHT IN YOU, IT IS NOT JUST YOUR CHURCH OR PRIEST, YOU ARE GOD'S AMBASSADOR IN THE WORLD OF THE MEETING.
Matt. 4:18-20
The apostle Peter was an ordinary person who lived in a special time. He lived at the time when Jesus walked down here on earth, and died for mankind, and rose again from the grave.
Peter, whose real name was Simon, came to faith through his brother Andrew, and they both met Jesus. (John 1:40-42). When Jesus invited them to become his disciples, they immediately left the boat and the fishing, and placed themselves under the authority of Jesus Christ. Matt. 4:20. They followed Him!
JESUS CALLED THEM: COME WITH ME,
THEN I WILL TEACH YOU HOW
YOU CAN BECOME HUMAN FISHERS.
IMMEDIATELY THEY LEFT
THEIR NET AND WENT WITH JESUS.
Peter became an ardent follower of Jesus, who constantly showed his eagerness to be close to Jesus, and often placed himself close to where things were happening. Whether it was when Jesus was on the lake and the waves were high, and Jesus called Peter out on the waves, or it was when they were on the Mount of Transfiguration Matt. 17:1-5 then Peter was always nearby.
In the beginning, the former fisherman was quick to speak and quick to act – Spontaneous and impulsive, we would say, and we recognize ourselves or others. Peter's spontaneity also created difficulties for him along the way. Eg. when Jesus speaks to him about his suffering and death, Peter reacts as if he knew better than Jesus. Jesus immediately retorted harshly in Matt. 16:21-23.
But Peter learned from his mistakes. He is a good example of how we should not give in to personal desires, but wholeheartedly follow Jesus in obedience and walk close to him in all things, with the personality we have been given.
GOD CHOOSES COMPLETELY ORDINARY PEOPLE
AS PETER AND YOU AND ME – TO BE
MESSENGER FOR HIM IN OUR TIME AND
POINT IT AT HIM!
He simply asks if we love Him, will follow Him and obey what He tells us!
When we do that, He will use us to reach others - far beyond what we had ever imagined - on an exciting walk with Him.

show that Jesus in you wants to go out through you both in word and deed.
