The Bible teaches that God is love: for example, First John 4:7-8. Beloved friends let us love one another, for true love comes from God. Those who show their love in action are born of God. But those who do not have love do not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:16 And we have experienced and believe in the love that God has shown towards us.
God is love, and those who live in love live with God, and God lives in them. 17 If, while we live in this world, we love as he did, then he has reached his goal with us as far as love is concerned, and we can be bold on the day of judgment.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, you also must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you have love for one another.'
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
John's Gospel 15: Love and Obedience 9 As the Father has loved me, I have loved you. Stay in my love. 10 You abide in my love by obeying me, just as I abide in my Father's love by obeying him. 11 I tell you this so that my joy may be in you and fill your hearts. 12 My commandment to you is that you should show one another the same love that I have shown you.
John 13:35: Jesus says:
If you have love for one another, everyone will see that you are my disciples.
First Corinthians 13:1-3.
If I were able to speak all the earthly and heavenly languages, but did not have love, then I was like a resounding gong or a shrill cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, had revelation of all mysteries and had all knowledge, if I had the faith that moves mountains, but had not love, then I was nothing. If I gave away all my possessions, if I sacrificed my life, to gain glory, but had no love, it would profit me nothing.
According to First Corinthians 13:1-3, it does not matter what you do and how much you do, as a Christian. Without God's love it doesn't matter:
If I were then able to speak all the earthly and heavenly languages,
If I had the gift of prophecy,
If I had revelation of all mysteries
If I had all the knowledge,
If I had the faith that moves mountains,
If I gave away all my possessions,
If I sacrificed my life, to gain glory,
Without having the love of God, this according to First Corinthians 13:1-3. no value, nothing.
What is God's love? The Bible teaches the following about God's love:
First Corinthians 13:4-8.
Love is merciful and kind, love is not envious, not boastful or conceited. It is not obscene or selfish. It does not allow itself to be excited and does not hold a grudge. It grieves when someone is wronged, but rejoices when truth prevails. Love is patient and forgiving. It is full of trust, expectation and endurance. Love lasts forever.
Romans 13:10 All these commandments can be summed up in a single commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself, if you love your fellow man, you will do them no harm. So you fulfill the law when you show love.
In order to distinguish between them, it is therefore important to know the following:
What is God's love? ten described points part of God's love and thus of the good:
Love is merciful
Love is kind
Love grieves if someone is wronged, but
Love rejoices when truth prevails.
Love is patient.
Love is forgiving.
Love is full of trust,
Love is full of expectation.
Love is full of endurance.
Love lasts forever.
what is not the love of God? According to First Corinthians 13:4-8. are these seven described points not part of God's love and thus of evil:
love is not envious
Love is not boastful.
Love is not conceited.
Love is not obscene.
Love is not selfish.
Love cannot be excited.
Love does not hold grudges.
Paul describes these and other points in Galatians 5:19-21 as people's ungodly and selfish actions and that those who live in this way will not enter Heaven. Therefore, we must not let ourselves be deceived, but rather make it our great goal in life, to live in God's love, love one another, speak well of one another and forgive one another.
Romans 13:8-10
Owe no one anything but to love one another; for he who loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments: "Thou shalt not break a marriage; you shall not commit murder; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,' and any other commandment, after all, is summed up in this commandment: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does almost no harm. Love, then, is the fullness of the law.
Galatians 5:14
14 The whole law is gathered in one commandment, namely the love commandment: You must love your neighborwith yourself.
1 Peter 4:7-8
But the end of all things is near. Therefore be sober and watchful, that ye may pray; first of all you must hold on to mutual love, for love covers many sins.
One you in the Spirit of love?
In the life of the Holy Spirit?
Where your life bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit?
The fruit of God's love for others
The fruit of love is different from what the world offers dear friend.
Amen
