We're not fragile/weak are we?
Yes, we are in a fragile body that can have various weaknesses, yet our weaknesses Jesus took with him in the tannery. Isaiah 53. We have an eternal body without frailties/weaknesses waiting.
We don't use frailty/weakness that much in our time. It is an old-fashioned word, some would think. Today we are not talking about frailty and weakness. We have more focus on the perfect, the flawless and the strong and the irresistible.
Still, we know the word FRAGILE well and it is almost condescending when we talk about a person being fragile or having some frailties in their life.
Do we take care of the frailties/weaknesses our siblings in Jesus have in their bodies today?
What does it look like among Christians today?
Do we show care, love to our fellow siblings?
What do we do about the fragile in our world today?
Unfortunately, this is how we all know frailties in different areas of our lives. Shall we whine and complain about our frailties and smile indulgently at the frailties of others while hiding our own frailties?
The Bible tells us how to deal with weaknesses:
FOR WE DO NOT HAVE A HIGH PRIEST WHO CANNOT HAVE COMPASSION WITH OUR Frailties, BUT ONE WHO HAS BEEN TEMPTED IN ALL THINGS LIKE US, YET WITHOUT SIN. THEREFORE LET US APPEAR WITH BOLDNESS BEFORE THE THRONE OF GRACE, FOR HE WILL IN HIS GRACE AND MERCY COME TO US HELP IN TIME. Hebrews. 4:14-16
So we must boldly come before God, with our frailties. It takes the sting out of frailties and we can experience God's help. Let's be honest before God with our frailties and bring them into the LIGHT.
Some frailties are stubborn and hard to get rid of or live with. In verse 16 we read that we must boldly come before God, and he will in his grace and mercy come to our aid in due time.
IN THE RIGHT TIME time can be difficult to understand, because we always seem to find the right time is when we turn to God, then we expect God's intervention here and now. This is not always the case. Let us persevere humbly, boldly and perseveringly in prayer and for then there is mercy and grace to be had.
OUR PLACE AT THE THRONE OF GRACE, IN THE FACE OF GOD, AWAITS US EVERY DAY LET US NOT COME ALONE. LET US TAKE OUR WEAKNESSES WITH US. AND BEAR EACH OTHER'S BURDENS AND Frailties AS WE SHOW WORKS OF MERCY AND LOVE TODAY.
