How to defeat the enemy distraction

LINK

Daniel 7:23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.[b]

26 “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever

Distraction are one of the end time strategy the enemy is using to attack the people of God. Their main put is to wear down the saints. But God is equipping His people to overnight the strategy of the enemy, including distractions.

What is a distraction?

ALWAYS READ THE ENTIRE SECTION TO WHICH THE VERSE REFERES TO.

A distraction is anything that prevents us from reaching our destiny, call,or purpose set by God in our life. Distraction can come in the form of a person, a place, activity, or thing.

What is the purpose of distractions?

1 To prevent a goal or destiny to be attained

Distractions always come when we are close to reaching our goals, receive a breakthrough or a miracle we have been praying for

2. To steal our confidence and conviction

We are easily distracted when we are not convinced of our purpose. If we lack the conviction that prayer strengthens and growths our relationship with God, distraction will keep us from praying. Protecting our conviction will therefore keep us free from distractions. It is easily done by believe and declare God's word

Thanksgiving and Prayer

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

3 To weigh us down

Luke 21:34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

To weigh down meaning is to be so busy working or serving in church that we forget to pray or have fellowship with God, that we worry to much about what we will eat and drink or wear, that we stop trust God's provision.

Consequences of distractions

We lose focus

We stop producing or creating

We are unable to accomplish anything

We become spiritual week

We are delaying in fulfilling our purpose

Progress is delayed

How do we overcome distractions

1 By focusing on the things above

Colossians 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Wherever we fix, set, or establish our thoughts that is where our focus will be. If you mind is set on a specific goal or purpose, we will focus on that. Focus on heavenly things, not on earthly or natural one , focus on Jesus

When we focus on things above, three things will be attracted to us

People with our same mentality

Destiny

Opportunity

Distraction is a waste of time, it leads to missed opportunities, and connects us to wrong people. If we focus to growing our business, we will attract business

If we focus on the supernatural, we will attract healing, miracles

If we focus on growing spiritually

, financial goals, salvation for our family or a much needed breakthrough, we will receive it.

2 Be re focusing on the original intent

God created us with the divine purpose to carry out His will, but if we are distracted, we will never accomplish it. We overcome distractions by re focusing on prayer, serving God, and walking in our calling.
